The TWiT Network and Why It's So Damn Important
It was killed before its time. Some say it was ahead of its time. Regardless, TechTV was a network on the cutting edge - not just in terms of the technology it covered, but in the way it promoted tech news as more than just a niche industry. On TechTV, gadgets and science were as important as wars and healthcare reform on CNN or Fox News.
When the station was bought by G4 and turned into “SpikeTV...

Gizmodo/iPhone Knowledge Center
I’m sick of commenting on this story (if you follow me on Twitter, you understand), but I’ve put some links together that I think give the best overview of the Gizmodo/iPhone scandal - and none of these links go to Gizmodo itself. They’re playing coy and cute about the whole thing and not giving up the whole story.
My take on the entire situation: Gizmodo bought stolen property,...

My Take on Andy Ihnatko's Take on Gizmodo's iPhone... →
This is a comment I left on Andy Ihnatko’s site, “the Celestial Waste of Bandwidth”, concerning Gizmodo’s responsibility in leaking what could be the latest iPhone:
You make a very valid point nobody else (Mashable, Engadget, et al.) has made – Ben Parker’s famous mantra rings loud and clear for Gizmodo and blogs of that ilk today: “With great power, comes dot dot dot…”.

– Honey, Don’t Bother Mommy. I’m Too Busy Building My Brand.
I think the idea of “mommy blogging” is great - a series of websites where mothers can exchange parenting information and learn from one another. However, it has turned into a bloated cesspool of poorly designed Blogger and...

Summary: There’s a thin line between irritating and necessary evil, and I don’t think the Atlantic has crossed it yet.
Never said it was evil. I am absolutely saying it’s patently dumb and potentially suicidal.

Windows Phone 7 Thoughts
Windows Phone 7 is a huge step forward for a company that tried to prove over and over again, “no, wait! The next version of Windows Mobile will be better! Styluses are cool!” With the new “Metro” UI Microsoft unveiled at the Mobile World Congress in Spain, it hopes to refresh not only its phones, but also its image.
Other companies, like Apple and Google, have produced...

Ahoy!
I’ve started this blog as a vessel for my opinions, commentary, frustrations and anything else I feel concerning technology. I’m a gadget junkie, a tech nerd, a social media addict - I’ve signed up for so many networks, I forget about them until they send me a “where’ve you been?” email.
You may not always agree with me. In fact, you might even hate me, but...
